Why does beer from a tap have more alcohol content than bottled beer?

The alcohol content varies from beer to beer but if you are comparing the same beer on tap and in a bottle the alcohol content should be the same. It will however vary slightly from batch to batch. Sometimes bottled beer is pasteurized when the tap version is not, but this should not deplete the amount of alcohol, although it does change the taste. Draught beer is often served by the pint whil bottles are usually 12 oz, so if you feel like youve had more alcohol after having a few pints than after a few bottles it is because the volume is larger.
