Why does barbie dress up as Hollywood stars?
This is all based off of what I think, so I don’t know how reliable it would be for your report, but i think that they try to dress Barbie up as a celebrity because they know that little girls want to be more like them, and owning a doll that looks or dresses as said celebrity, makes them feel closer. Thats why all the Barbie dolls are celebrities like Hannah Montana, Britney Spears, Hillary Duff, or any of the High School Musical kids. Notice how they are all people who sing for a younger audience (well, Brittney used to be..same with Hannah Montana and Hillary Duff…I am giving you old ones because I have not been down the Barbie isle in a loooong time).
