Why does Babynat use maltodextrins in the composition of its infant milks?

Maltodextrins are a source of carbohydrates or “semi-complex sugars” that are easily assimilated by babies. It is a natural material, organically certified and with quality controlled for an infant food application. From a nutritional viewpoint, we use maltodextrins as a supplement to lactose (carbohydrate provided by milk) because infant milk formulas only containing lactose are much less well digested by babies. This maltodextrins – lactose combination allows regurgitation, diarrhoea and colic phenomena to be limited.
