Why does Awstats, Webalizer, and Modlogan statistics differ from the H-Sphere one?
H-Sphere traffic calculation mechanism is embedded in Apache and calculates whole HTTP traffic including HTTP header and HTTP body. Awstats, Webalizer, and Modlogan process access logs to calculate traffic. But Apache doesn’t sum HTTP header to the traffic value that is written to access_log. If domain has a lot of hitrates with small pages, the traffic values in log file can have a significant difference with the data that H-Sphere calculates. Before 2.5.0, H-Sphere also parsed log files to calculate traffic.
