Why does attending a movie one month before, reduce risk of meningococcal disease?
There really is no definitive explanation for this. It is just one of the factors that were found in a study of those who had a lower incidence of disease. It may be that those who attended a movie were out more and spent less time in an environment of close contact like a dorm room or it may be totally unrelated.
