Why does applying AGROTAIN help in seedrow applications?
At higher concentrations, ammonia can be very damaging to germinating seedlings. If urea can be maintained as urea until the seeds have germinated and established roots, the risk of stand loss is eliminated, or at least minimized. Applying AGROTAIN to the urea can suppress the activity of the urease enzyme and the release of ammonia for up to two weeks. This allows ample opportunity for the seedlings to become well established.
