Why does anybody create a fake profile on myspace and facebook or any other social network?
People create fake emails accounts and fake profiles so that they can hide their identity. They also create these to be disposable accounts, for doing something with – good or bad, they can dispose of the account if they need to. Many people create fake profiles for legitimate reasons, they want to use some of the features of the social networking site but are concerned about their privacy. Many so called “free” web sites are not actually free, they want us to give them some information in return for the free service which is our personal information. This information is very valuable to the site because it means that the owner of the site can build up a huge profile of data about you and target advertising toward you very accurately. So, sometimes it makes sense to set up a fake profile, if you just want to use the site but are concerned about the “Big Brother” element of social networking sites.
