Do you mean ancestry.co.uk only has England and Wales, in my opinion it’s being updated all the time, for instance it now has the Scottish census collection, I think it’s excellent. Ancestry.com has the worldwide stuff, I have the global collection, and I think that is superb. I pay my subscription on a monthly basis, it costs me £24:95 a month for the Global deluxe membership. I used to have two monthly subscriptions one for the .co.uk site and the other for the .com site they were £9:95 each, then I combined the two and paid the extra, now I have the best package they offer, and I am really happy with it.
