Why does anaerobic respiration take so much longer than aerobic respiration?

0

You may have these two functions mixed up. Anaerobic is when your body is not using oxygen to do work. Obviously this can not go on for long. Anaerobic activities would include the 100 meter dash, lifting weights etc. Aerobic is when your body uses oxygen. Aerobic events would be running a 5k, walking a few miles etc. Your body is able to perform Anaerobic activities for only short durations becuase you run out of the stored energy in your muscles very quickly. Aerobic respiration on the other hand brings in extra oxygen to metabolize the stored energy your body has outside of your muslces.
