Why does an LCD TV use less power than a plasma TV?
In fact, both LCD and plasma TVs use approximately the same amount of power, over time, if we compare the same screen size. The power consumption of a plasma TV varies tremendously as the screen content changes, while an LCD remains almost constant. So, it doesn’t matter if you choose an equivalent sized LCD or plasma TV, your hydro consumption will be approximately the same at the end of the month.
