Why does American law allow unregistered guns and criminals the right to buy guns without background checks?
Gun crime in the UK is falling, and we have stringent background checks here, as for criminals obtaining illegal guns that is for the police and law enforcement agencies to prevent. Last year there were 42 gun-related homicides in Great Britain which has a population of over 60 million people, with large swathes of the country recording no homicides, suicides or accidental deaths from firearms. This represents an 18% drop on 2007, when there were 51 gun deaths in Great Britain. The worst area for gun deaths in Great Britain was London a city of 8 million people, which had 15 gun crime related deaths.
