Why does alloy matter with anodizing?
A. Like most modern metals, aluminum is actually a family of types, or alloys, each with different percentages of other metals added for specific production properties (i.e. machinability, malleability, corrosion resistance and finishing.) In the case of aluminum, certain alloys are far more desirable for anodizing and Bright Dip than others. Speak with your metal supplier or GI for specific information before moving from design to production of any new product.
