Why does adrenalin increase blood pressure?
adrenaline causes vasoconstriction of the blood vessels. By decreasing the volume in which blood can flow, this increases the pressure, hence the increase in blood pressure. Think of a sealed bottle with air. If you squeeze the bottle, you can feel the pressure inside the bottle increasing – this is similar to what happens in the blood vessels….
