Why does a template obscure the content of an element?
Content of a template component cannot obscure the content of a source component. However, if your template does not include a component that corresponds with content data then, depending on template flags, you can make the unmatched source component transparent via the template or hidden. The latter option is used to hide or delete source components (and their content). For example, if you use Advanced English 97 illustrated with pictures, you can impose a picture-less template and thus hide the pictures.
