Why does a second speed test usually show faster result?
In order to duplicate the experience of “real” users, our speed test is performed by Microsoft’s Internet Explorer which (like other web browsers) “remembers” the content of recently-accessed websites in order to speed up access. When you request the first speed test, the entire content of the requested page is loaded. If you request a second speed test shortly after the first, part of the content may not be loaded again (as it is already available to our browser), and the speed will appear faster. Since we use a minimal size for the “temporary Internet files” and we visit a large number of websites, your content will be remembered for only a few minutes. If you do a second speed test more than 10 minutes later, the entire page content will be loaded again.
