Why does a roller coaster make me feel sick?
Motion sickness, a weak/upset stomach, dehydration, heat exhaustion, drugs (prescribed or other), alcohol, and psychological factors (fear or freaking out) are possibilities. I felt very wobbly after my first ride on the Orbiter, but it was the first time my body had been tossed around like that and I also ate a lot of yummy foods like chili dogs, blooming onions, and so on. A week or two later, I didn’t eat before riding, and I went on the Orbiter at least four times without a problem. After that, I’ve been on some of the best rides in the country, including some really cool coasters. I have also figured out how to control my breathing and abdominal muscles to minimize the “butterflies in the stomach” feeling. Try making sure your stomach isn’t full of food that could be a problem, and eating stuff like trail mix and honey roasted peanuts instead. Keep your body hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
