Why does A* now appear in the entry requirements?
We are closely monitoring the A* attainment of our incoming students and we acknowledge that a significant proportion of our students far exceed a typical offer, with three or four A* grades. To acknowledge the attainment of exceptionally high-achieving students, we will be deploying an A* AA offer, where appropriate, in the current cycle. We do not anticipate that A*AA offers will constitute a standard or typical offer in the 2012 cycle.
