• The heat created from high voltage incandescents causes degradation and rapid product failure of components. Low voltage incandescent is better, but LED is best. LEDs generate very little heat and therefore, have a longer life — a rated average working life of 100,000 hours compared with 1,000 hours for incandescent bulbs.
