Why does a furnace flue need a liner?
Some of the circumstances requiring a new liner are listed below: • chimney is unlined • Furnace or water heater appliances have been changed • existing liner is oversized or undersized for existing boiler, furnace and/or water heater • chimney is incapable of containing flue gases • joints between the flue tiles are deteriorated • cracked terra cotta flue tiles
