Why does a burned candle not violate the law of conservation of mass?

the ‘lost’ mass of the wax candle is still there only that its melted down melted mass + still standing mass = whole mass of candle hope this helped =)

It does not violate the law of conservation of mass because the wax didn’t actually disappear but rather it only melts which doesn’t convert wax to a new compound. In short taking into account the melted wax, its mass will still be the same.
