Why do young people act so arrogantly compared to older generations?

I don’t think younger generations act any more arrogant than the generations before them. I think it is the perception that the older generations have of the younger one. The older gen feels they have been there, done that and the young people haven’t had enough experiences to be so cocky. This is the same way the generation before them felt and the one before that. Times change, ideas change, beliefs change, technology changes and lifestyles change. 99% of the time, it is completely different from the generation before them, hence the perception of arrogance. New ideas are born every day, sometimes 180 degrees from the ideas that are considered the norm. Alot of times, the ideas don’t work out and the time tested ones prove to be the best, but sometimes the new ones are better. This is often misconstrued as arrogance because no one likes to be proved wrong or outdated.
