Why do you think Yahoo has acquired further stalking capabilities since the 360 profiles have changed?

I turned the whole thing off. The great thing about networking sites like 360 was that they let you interact without revealing your e-mail addy, etc. and that you could use different sites for different purposes, maintain privacy at the level you wanted and manage it via one e-mail account. Granted, there is no true privacy on the internet, but this linking everything together and spamming our sent mail lists with the info is absurd. Of course, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc. benefit every time we set up a new address to try to maintain separation between the parts of our on-line lives, so they’ll keep winning regardless. I guess we’re going to have to start building our own alternatives and take back the net.
