I think that the most important person in American History was either Benjamin Franklin or George Washington. Benjamin Franklin because he invented electricity and got France to be our ally in the Revolutionary War. George Washington was important because he taught poor men and farmers how to become sldiers so that they could fight in the Army in the Revolutionary War.
