Why do you think DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES episode tell a negative thoughts about our MEDIC SCHOOLS.?
This is old news but just the same, my thoughts are In that episode, because they were trying to be funny & they needed a good punchline, the most of the time, time-constrained writer & editor had to do that. And they had no other choice, because they cannot very well anger the Blacks & the Hispanics & hitting the Whites, the other Asians, the Native Americans & the Pacific Islanders wouldn’t be funny. So who was left to make fun of? Anyway, they have since offered an apology for that little sorry ‘episode’ but of course after the Filipino community had a fit. Most people looking at this episode from the outside, think it is nothing, but for my sister who is a UP grad (licensed to practice in 4 US States) & who has fought gender/racial & other biases & prejudices like all other competent, honest & hard working doctors from other parts of the world who practice in the US & elsewhere this was one sick joke.
