I am a former chef and have had tinned clementines from Spain here in Canada, we use to buy buckets of orange sections i the hotels, when I worked in Japan they canned mandarins, satsumas and even the sour yuzu fruits, it all depend on the country you live in, the Asian population and store demand, ask your grocery, they are not much different in taste or cost compared to mandarins, they just are more an eating fruit, you never see canned water melon or apples, they do tin banana in Thailand.
