Why do yoga at Body Prayers?
At Body Prayers, we have created a peaceful, non-competitive environment so that students at any level of fitness can work at their own pace to progress and feel better. Nothing of consequence can be attained without effort. However, in yoga, all effort is based on the principle of non-violence, which reduces goal-oriented strife and opens the door to self-exploration. Yet, we are also interested in reducing stress so most classes at Body Prayers are followed by a deep, guided relaxation. You leave refreshed rather than exhausted. Body Prayers Teachers have gone through rigorous and thorough trainings, apprenticeships, and workshops Our teachers are committed to deepening their own practice and education as a yoga teacher. They are also committed to supporting their students at what ever level of practice is desired, while taking a stand for the ever-expanding benefits of yoga.
