Why do women tend to be “sneaky”?
In order for women to give you a direct answer, you as the boss needs to encourage it. The only reason they go the indirect way is because they do not trust you enough to tell you in your face as such they hope by hint or using an indirect route, you will get the drift. To these employees – you are the BOSS and the person who sign their pay check so they do not want to lose their job by giving you straight talk as they don’t feel comfortable enough to do so. Employees be it women or men will not give the boss a direct answer if, they do not trust the boss have their best interest at heart or thinks that the boss cannot deal with direct answers. To encourage your employees – men or women to have straight talk, you would need to come across as someone who reacts well when a straight answer is given and praised your employees when they communicate well with you even if you don’t like what you are hearing.
