Why do Women and Girls Trash Female Models?
What is it about today’s female fashion models? Are they too thin, too attractive, too empty looking, too what? Maybe it’s the physical standard they set for the American women. If the average fashion model is a size 2 and the average American woman a size 13, where does that leave general society? Apparently with a lot of weight to shed. Flipping Through Magazines with Girl Models Pictures I was watching my teenage daughter and her two friends flip through fashion magazines yesterday. They spoke about the clothing they liked and desired. But then they trashed plenty of the female models. I heard comments regarding how skinny the girls are, or how they’re probably on drugs. A whole lot of nit-picking. The Female Persona This made me sad, because I know what it means. The girls criticizing them aren’t happy with themselves.
