Uhhhm. Whales don’t swim upstream. They swim in the open ocean. When they beach themselve they do it from the open ocean and I don’t believe it is completely undersood. It has been speculated that it has something to do with their sonar malfunctioning. Mass beaching really puzzles biologists.
