You are seemingly unaware that, overall, we Americans DO NOT like the government coming in and telling us what to do. As a matter of fact, our Constitution puts strict limits on what the government should and should not control. This 1,000+ page atrocity is chock full of government intrusion into our health care choices. Our government can’t properly manage what they DO control in this country, so many of us sure as hell don’t want them going near health care. Jenny, we have something over here called Medicaid, which is a state-run insurance program for the poor. There are many problems with this program and those problems should be corrected. Qualifications for Medicaid vary from state to state. For instance, in my state (Missouri) someone will not qualify for it unless they are permanently disabled (or have a house full of brats and collect food stamps).
