Why do we need the Hogbin Drive Extension?
• Building the Hogbin Drive Extension will assist local traffic movement around our city during morning and afternoon peak periods and generally decrease traffic congestion on the Pacific Highway. • It will provide a direct bicycle route linking the north and south sides of Coffs Harbour away from the safety risks associated with the Pacific Highway. • The road will provide a direct link from the airport for residents and to resorts north of the city. • Constructing the new road will reduce transport costs, accident costs and public transport operational costs. • Constructing the new road will continue to encourage the redevelopment of the Park Beach and the Jetty areas resulting in increased property values for owners.
