Life in Ukraine and Russia is very hard for them, both economically and emotionally. Men often drink their wages while and stay out late with their friends. The women that do marry often divorce soon after due to physical or emotional abuse or simply that the man does not involve himself in the success of the family in any way. The alcoholism rate is very high, as many already know. The drinking, poor economy and the fact that the men are unable to emotionally and financially support a family are overwhelming to them. They hope to find a man that will love them and that desires to have a happy family. That is why as you read the profiles the single most repeated statement for the women is ..to create a happy family. To them this is the most important reason to look outside of their country.
