Why do translators and interpreters need CPD?
In common with members of other professional associations, translators and interpreters need to keep abreast of new working methods and knowledge. ITI is committed to promoting continuing professional development and has a duty to encourage all members to pursue CPD throughout their careers. In order to become a Chartered Linguist, translators and interpreters will need to provide evidence of 2 years recent CPD. Keep your CPD Record in a safe place. Also keep copies of any supporting documentation and proof of attendance at courses and events. What is the ITI CPD Record?
