Why do Townswomens Guilds have a national headquarters?
Having a central address for a national organisation is essential. Acting as a focal point of contact, HQ has a great deal of interaction with other organisations, charities and governmental departments. The setting up of national events, conferences and lunches start at HQ with many letters, emails and phone calls together with general administration of the organisation and its membership. Keeping up to date with Government and Charity Commission changes and following up mandates are ongoing duties, fitted in around the support and advice given to TG members.
