Why do tickets suddenly become available for shows which are “sold out”?
Much depends on when the artist’s stage is set up for the performance. If the stage is smaller than anticipated, or the sightlines are wider than expected, more tickets are made available for sale. Also, every artist also holds seats to accommodate dignitaries, friends, or family who may be traveling with them or visiting in a particular city. If the artist doesn’t intend to use these seats, the tickets are returned to the box office for sale.
