Why do they euthanize dogs on Animal Planet?

0

Not all shelters have the resources necessary to rehabilitate these dogs. If they keep spending all of their time on one dog, then there’s a backup of dogs behind them that need attention and training too. They need to focus their time on the most adoptable dogs and get them out there. Sure every now and then you see a story where some miracle person comes along that can train these dogs, but that’s more of a rarity. 90% of the time, these dogs sit in a kennel day after day, with people passing them by because they can’t handle a dog with issues. And that dog is taking up space that could be used by a dog that will get a home. It’s a sad reality, but is more people spayed and neutered their dogs, then it wouldn’t have to be that way.
