Why do they chew on cage bars?

I’m not totally sure, but I’ve noticed my more hyper ones are the ones that chew. I suspect it may be the obvious “Let me out to play!” or a nervous habit or they just want to hear the noise. Since nibbling and chewing are such basic natural instincts, it’s not really a surprise or concern that they do it (their teeth constantly grow) just annoying to the people who have to hear it.
