Why do they call a penis piercing a Prince Albert?
Prince Albert was the Queen’s consort, in that time period men wore Knickerbocker style pants (knee high pants with a very tight fit). The style of the time dictated that the crotch or gusset of the pants should not show any “unsightly” bulge. In this time period Prince Albert was fabled to have a “dressing ring” to deal with this unsightly bulge (a belt was worn around the waist and through the “dressing ring” holding the penis up and out of the way of the crotch line or gusset). Instead of it being called a dressing ring it was referred to as a “Prince Albert”, guess it just sounds classier. So now you have the story behind the Prince Albert piercing.
