Why do the Security Services try to connect to the Internet when it starts up?
Security Services needs to connect to the Internet to download the latest Anti-Virus, Anti-Spyware, and Firewall updates. I have Norton Internet Security 2004 installed on my computer. When I run AT&T Internet Security Suite for the first time, Norton Firewall asks me if BellSouth.exe is allowed to connect to the Internet. Norton Internet Security is set up to detect when a new program is trying to contact the Internet. You must allow all traffic created by the AT&T Internet Security Suite program to connect to the Internet. I’ve just activated the AT&T Anti-Virus and I’ve noticed a slowdown on my computer. Why is this happening? This problem can occur if you are running more than one anti-virus program. Essentially, twice as many resources are being used to monitor all the files on your computer. Disabling the other anti-virus program should resolve this problem. We recommend you run a single anti-virus program on your computer. The AT&T Anti-Virus sometimes deletes viruses without pr
