Why do the relay for life events carry a lot of emotion?
Relay for Life events long on emotion, inspiration Comments June 11, 2009 By Lorrie Woycik, Post-Tribune correspondent For several weeks, many of you have been involved with the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life events to help raise the millions of dollars needed to find cures for the many types of cancer that, in some way, affect every family. Seeing 7-year-old leukemia patient Jason Beach leading the survivors’ lap at the Valparaiso Relay for Life must have touched the hearts of everyone there. I’m sure all of you have stories of special compassion you have heard or been a part of through this time of memories, hope, caring and believing.
