Why do the regular lines not run on Friday nights or Sundays?
While Unitrans is a full public transit system, it is operated by employees who are also full-time students at UC Davis. The number of hours in service each day is quite extensive and places many demands on the time of the student employees. Friday nights and Sundays have traditionally been periods of low ridership demand, and not offering service at these times provides some rest time for our drivers.
