Why do the recycling collection rounds take longer than before?
Unfortunately, the new procedures for collections and on street sorting of recycling take a little longer than previously and in some cases residents are putting non-recyclable materials in the recycling containers which takes time to sort out. Please make sure you read your leaflet and know what can be put in your recycling containers and bear with us. As recycling crews become more used to the new collection system, this will improve and delays will reduce.
