Why do the online books cost more than paperbacks?
National publishing houses that print paperbacks, do so by printing in mass quantities and in printing thousands or millions of copies at once. With mass publication they can offer books at relatively inexpensive rate. Also in the sale of these books the writer gets very little and the lion’s share of the profits go to the publisher. Online publishing has its share of expenses too, domain and web space rent, software fees, credit card processing fees and maintain fees. Integrity Tech Publishing, unlike other publishing companies gives a great share of the books price to the writer in monthly checks from their sales. This gives the writer an extra income between sometimes the year long “advance” checks from a paperback publishers. But we only sell a few books a month…not millions like national publishing houses.
