Why do the oil companies need Windtrans Systems Ltd’s technology?

• Presently the oil company removes the bituminous sand/rock from pits – then the mined material is mixed with large volumes of heated water to extract the heavy oil. Next petrol solvents are added to cut or dilute the heavy oil so that it can be pumped 100’s of miles to refineries. The solvents then have to be removed for refinement and pumped back for reuse. “Zelda” is able to pump massive amounts of the raw material with 40 to 50% less solvent and heat. • Once the oil or oil derivative is extracted then the remaining waste or tailings (sand / water / residue oil) become a problem to contain and handle. The tailings go into huge lagoons where it is allowed to separate/settle and then ideally the water is pumped off and reused. Again “Zelda” can pump large volumes at very low rpm and at high PSI. This means “Zelda” pumps the liquid without overdue agitation which otherwise would remix the tailings. This tailing sand is terribly hard and abrasive on pumps including the pipeline. “Zelda
