Why do the noisy plow trucks go past my home at night, a few days after the storm?
This occurs mainly in the Central Business District, in and around all municipal facilities and in parking lots. These trucks are hauling the snow away. The work is done at night to expedite the removal and to reduce the possibility of accidents. If the work was during the daytime, there would be major disruptions to the business areas with cars trying to park and pedestrians trying to move about.
