Why do the “next” and “previous” buttons in VLC skip the entire movie when playing a DVD?
The default action for “next” and “previous” buttons both in the VLC on screen controls and in uRemote are next/previous playlist item. If you would like to remap them to next/previous chapter, you must modify the VLC keyboard shortcuts for these operations manually by accessing the “Hotkeys” tab in VLC Preferences.
