Why do the jars of Flamazine* have a shorter shelf life than the tubes once opened?

0

As stated in the Flamazine Summary of Product Characteristics, 20g and 50g tubes should be discarded seven days after opening. The 250g and 500g jars must be discarded twenty-four hours after opening. Due to the largersurface area of the jar the product has a greater potential risk of oxidation with light and as Flamazine is preservative free it will be at risk of bacterial contamination.
