Why do the dates on which DVDs are scheduled to be released change?
Release dates for DVDs can change for a variety of reasons. In some cases, particularly for special editions, it takes the manufacturer longer than anticipated to gather all the elements needed to complete the DVD. Other times, the manufacturer runs into technical glitches that delay a release. In one recent instance, a slate of scheduled titles was put on hold when ownership of the titles was sold from one studio to another. You can find the latest DVD release schedule in our New to DVD section; it is updated every Tuesday and as changes are announced. And don’t miss our Pre-Order DVD page!
