Why do the charts show bond prices rather than interest rates?
It is very important to show market trend and direction, but it can be a bit dangerous to indicate specific interest rates. The end recipient of the newsletter may not understand the way interest rates and closing costs work hand in hand, renegotiation policies, the varied interest rates for different programs, and the many other considerations we know enter into a rate quote. We want to make sure you, as the Trusted Advisor, are the one they will turn to with these questions, rather than questioning or second guessing the rate quotes you provide to your clients.
