Why do the card sets from Brodart come in such large boxes?

The box size conforms to UPS shipping requirements. Brodart is a big company and generally fills orders for many libraries that are much larger than those in Vermont. Orders are not combined in the boxes; only one order goes in each box. Brodart pays all shipping costs.
